Bug Bounce is the first game released by Koko Tap.
The goal in Bug Bounce is to try to avoid the enemy bugs that spawn and bounce around the screen for as long as you can. The gameplay starts out slow but becomes frantic, fast. You control your player (the little blue bird) with your fingertip, and move him around the screen so it doesn't touch any of the ever-increasing bugs that appear. The player has three "lives" of 100 points each, and each of the bugs moves at different speeds and will reduce the player's 100 points at different rates. We recommend that you avoid the grey spider ... at all costs :-)
Your score in Bug Bounce is determined by how long you keep your player alive. At the end of game your score is saved locally but can also be submitted to the Bug Bounce online server (WiFi or cellular connection required) where your score will be added to the ranks of other players around the world. You can review your own scores and those of the top 100 players around the world with the click of a button. You can also submit your hign score to the OpenFeint online leaderboards!
What's new in version 1.5? We've dropped the price a dollar to only $1.99. We've added the very cool OpenFeint social networking features to Bug Bounce (social network integration with Twitter™, Facebook™ and MySpace™, global community chat rooms, buddy lists, player profiles and walls, newsfeeds, game specific chat rooms, and leaderboards), as well as a bunch of graphic and code updates, including a check to see if the application is a cracked version.
The producer and creative director for Bug Bounce was Koko Tap founder David Janik-Jones. Version 1.5 was programmed by David Janik-Jones, and the original game was programmed by the brilliant Jedd Haberstro, with the delightful bug and player icons created by Sam Lamont.
Bug Bounce was released August 8, 2008.
Bug Bounce version 1.5 was released April 22, 2009.
