Info
Garden Marbles is the second game released by Koko Tap.
The goal in Garden Marbles is to try to tip as many of the black marbles around the garden and into the pond within 60 seconds. As you clear off one level of marbles, more appear, and the garden starts to have impassable obstacles like trees and rocks that will block your path. But be careful to avoid letting your white marble fall into the pond!! The white marble moves around the screen as you tip your device back and forth—you want to make sure not to tip the white marble into the pond or you lose time and restart the level. The player has only 60 seconds, but can gain 10 extra seconds of play by tipping an orange "bonus" marble into the pond, and gain additional points by tipping the blue bonus marbles into the pond.
Your score in Garden Marbles is determined by how many cleared levels of black marbles you've tipped into the pond before your time runs out. At the end of game your score is saved locally, but can also be submitted to the Garden Marbles online server (WiFi or cellular connection required) where your score will be added to the ranks of other players around the world. You can review your own scores and those of the top 100 players around the world with the click of a button.
What's new in version 1.1? We've lowered the price by a dollar to $1.99. We've added the very cool OpenFeint social networking features to Garden Marbles (social network integration with Twitter™, Facebook™ and MySpace™, global community chat rooms, buddy lists, player profiles and walls, newsfeeds, game specific chat rooms, and leaderboards). We've created a new online high score database for this new version. We've added Flurry mobile analytics to track how the game is being played and to allow us to better know what improvements we can make to future versions. We tweaked some of the physics and movement programming, and updated many of the game graphics and cleaned up some of game's programming code, including adding a transparent check to see if the application is a cracked version.
The producer and creative director for Garden Marbles was Koko Tap founder David Janik-Jones. The original version of Garden Marbles was programmed by the brilliant Jedd Haberstro. Version 1.1 programming was done by David Janik-Jones. The superb background tiles, trees and rocks were created, and generously made available to game designers, by Daniel Cook of lostgarden.com.
Garden Marbles was released September 20, 2008.
Garden Marbles version 1.1 was released April 21, 2009.
