Info
Graveyard Marbles is the sixth game released by Koko Tap.
The goal in Graveyard Marbles is to try to tip as many of the black skulls around the Graveyard and into the grave within 60 seconds. As you clear off one level of skulls, more appear, and the Graveyard starts to have impassable obstacles like tombstones, altars and dead tress that will block your path. But be careful to avoid letting your white skull fall into the grave!! The skulls move around the screen as you tip your device back and forth—you want to make sure not to tip the white skull into the grave or you lose time and restart the level. The player has only 60 seconds, but can gain 10 extra seconds of play by tipping an orange-eyed "bonus" skull into the grave, and gain additional points by tipping the blue-eyed bonus skulls into the grave.
Your score in Graveyard Marbles is determined by how many completely cleared levels of black skulls you've tipped into the grave before your time runs out. At the end of game your score is saved locally, but can also be submitted to the Graveyard Marbles online server and the OpenFeint leaderboards (WiFi or cellular connection required) where your score will be added to the ranks of other players around the world. You can review your own scores and those of the top 100 players around the world with the click of a button.
Graveyard Marbles is based on our popular game Garden Marbles, and we've made sure to include features and new updates like the OpenFeint social networking features that include: social network integration with Twitter™, Facebook™ and MySpace™, global community chat rooms, buddy lists, player profiles and walls, newsfeeds, game specific chat rooms, and leaderboards. We've created a new online high score database for this new version and modified the scoring formulas. We've added Flurry mobile analytics to track how the game is being played and to allow us to better know what improvements we can make to future versions. We tweaked some of the physics and movement programming, created completely new game graphics, have incorporated new haunting music and sounds, cleaned up some of game's programming, and added a simple check to see if the application is a cracked version.
The producer, programmer and creative director for Graveyard Marbles was Koko Tap founder David Janik-Jones. The original programming for the Graveyard Marbles series was done by the brilliant Jedd Haberstro. The superb background tiles, trees and tombstones were created, and generously made available to game designers, by Daniel Cook of lostgarden.com.
Graveyard Marbles was released May 8, 2009.
